Description

With the Western Alps Trousers from Ortovox, the high mountains become a playground. The fully equipped hardshell pants are your personal shield against rock, ice and snow.

The adaptable, reliable material knows no bad weather. The 3-layer construction including a non-porous PU membrane and a reliable DWR impregnation lets neither wind nor moisture through, but sweat and moisture quickly find their way from the inside to the outside thanks to high breathability. If you need a little more air, the long 3-way zips on the sides can be opened and the mesh lining also offers pleasant ventilation when the side pockets are open.

The outer shell is particularly robust and can withstand even sharp edges. Nevertheless, thanks to 2-way stretch and a dynamic fit, the pants are comfortable and designed for alpine movements.

With their well-considered full features, the Western Alps trousers leave nothing to be desired and also adapt to capricious mountain weather. Both the waistband and the legends are individually adjustable, so the trousers close perfectly at the waist and over the boots. Integrated gaiters including loops for attaching the hard shell trousers to the boots effectively keep out swirling snow and cold draughts. A fixed edge protector, pre-shaped knees for more mobility, and three practical zipped pockets for avalanche transceiver and co. complete the mountain sports trousers. Of course, soft merino wool inserts on the inside of the waistband are a must for real Ortovox trousers and provide a little extra comfort.
