Description

The Westalpen line from mountain sports professional Ortovox stands for lightness, reliable protection and technically demanding outdoor activities. The innovative Westalpen system focuses particularly on alpine versatility and weight optimization.

For the latter in particular, minimalist yet technical features are essential. Slimmer tapes at the seams therefore save a few grams, but without losing their weatherproof benefits. Two large slit pockets on the chest offer plenty of storage space and also act as an insulating pad for your phone thanks to the merino mesh on the inside. Adjustable cuffs at the hem and sleeves and a helmet-compatible, adjustable hood are also part of the basic equipment for use in ice and snow. Finally, soft merino wool inserts in the chin and neck area provide the necessary comfort.

The 3-layer construction, including Dermizax® membrane and a reliable DWR finish, does not let wind or moisture through, but sweat and moisture on the inside find a quick way out thanks to the high breathability. The thin hardshell jacket scores points for its excellent durability, but can also be folded up small and stowed away to save space.
