UK 50-25 Altmühltal Nature Park, eastern part

<p>The UK50-25 covers the eastern part of the Altm&uuml;hltal Nature Park, the entire district of Kelheim and a large part of the Hallertau hop region (Holledau). The rivers Danube, Main-Danube Canal (Altm&uuml;hl), Abens and several more characterize the<br>the map and lead past historic towns such as Mainburg, Neustadt a.d.Donau, Riedenburg, Abensberg and Kelheim. Enthusiastic cyclists have ideal conditions to let off steam in this region. Along the quality cycle paths of the Bavarian network for cyclists, such as the Altm&uuml;hltal cycle path, you can discover, for example, Prunn Castle near Riedenburg or the Falkenhorst viewpoint high above the district of Gundlfing. Many other beautiful castles and fortresses and numerous pilgrimage churches worth seeing can be explored along the routes of the [r]auszeit cycle adventure trails and the signposted trails of the districts included in the map.<br>Walkers are well served by the paths of the Regensburg Forest Association, the Altm&uuml;hltalPanoramaweg with its loops and the Jurasteig with its side routes. These lead via various routes to the Danube Gorge<br>near Weltenburg - a narrow passage in the Danube valley, which is a nature reserve and geotope, and to the Roman watchtower in Hienheim near Neustadt a.d.Donau. Those who can't get enough action in their casual wear will find plenty to do at the<br>water skiing facility wake&amp;groove in Geisenfeld and in one of the three high ropes courses in the region. With children, you can visit the falconry Falkenhof at Rosenburg Castle, the Altm&uuml;hlBob leisure park in Riedenburg or the fossil quarry<br>Schamhaupten fossil quarry in Altmannstein. We also recommend the Kuchlbauer Tower in Abensberg, the Stone Bridge and the historic Wurstkuchl in Regensburg as well as the Schulerloch stalactite cave in Kelheim.</p>
