The impressive concept has been implemented at the usual high standard of workmanship and subtly revised compared to its previous model. Fit and lacing ensure a firm fit and support very good control in the climbing situation. Despite good support, the wearing comfort is remarkable due to well thought-out details such as the kink zone at the front ankle joint area, the softly padded and flexible shaft end or the sole cushioning.</p><p>The Karakorum HC GTX's harmonious design should not lack a Vibram® outsole with a good grip on gravel, rock or short passages on snow and ice, nor should its edge-stable, sufficiently reinforced construction with a nylon insole.</p>
