On the way to Brother Tree

<p>The 30 hikes lead to special trees, including primeval lime trees, maples, oaks, beeches and ash trees as well as lengthy yew, larch and Swiss stone pine forests. Trees introduced from America, Asia or Northern Europe can also be seen in parks and arboretums. The routes lead into the Mangfallgebirge, Tölzer Land, Werdenfelser Land and Chiemgau with detours to the Allgäu and Berchtesgadener Land as well as to Lower Bavaria and Tyrol. Three routes run through the city of Munich. Although the focus of all the hikes is on trees, the scenic attractions are not neglected either. Each route is accompanied by detailed information on how to get there and the route itself, as well as places to swim and stop for refreshments.
