<p>The Path - Grande Traversata Delle Alpi describes a fifty-day tour of the western Alps over a distance of 650 kilometers: The Grande Traversata delle Alpi (GTA) in Piedmont uses historical paths, starting at the foot of the second highest European mountain and ending in Ventimiglia. It crosses the Pennine, Graian and Cottian Alps as well as the Maritime and Ligurian Alps.</p> <p>Eberhard Neubronner was awarded the German Alpine Club's literature prize for this work. In addition to the exciting and informative text and numerous pictures, it also contains information on the continuation of the GTA in the south.
